Society Of Certified Retirement Financial Advisors
A training and credentialing organization preparing and qualifying financial advisors to advise, manage and consult with retirees on maximizing their financial opportunities, financial comfort and financial peace of mind. Financial advisors join the Society by completing an educational program and 15 hours of continuing education annually. They must also adhere to a Code of Ethical Behavior. Additional information about the program can be found at http://www.crfa.us and a directory of advisors is located here.
Mission of the Society
-
To increase the knowledge of advisors serving seniors from an industry dominant focus on accumulation products, services and strategies to an orientation needed for serving retirees—distribution products, services and strategies
-
To train an elite group of financial advisors committed to serve the unique financial needs of retirees
-
To encourage the transition from product sales person to financial advisor
-
To train financial service professionals desiring a more complete understanding of all retiree financial concerns, not just the concerns they have been trained to address with product solutions
-
To match retirees seeking a financial advisor with graduates of the CRFA™ training
-
To raise the level of ethical care used when managing or advising on retiree finances
